Data on the device

Progress and settings are stored in the app’s private storage. Progress is in profile.json. Settings are in settings.json.

Progress includes how many puzzles you have solved, how many without help, the best score in each mode, the unlocked colour and whether you have already seen some introductions. Settings include music and effect volume, vibration, reduced motion, high contrast, language and practice options.

The app does not ask for your name, your email or an account. Saving progress on the phone is processing of personal data, even though Telewander ApS does not receive those files. This version does not declare the Internet permission and does not send scores or settings to Telewander ApS servers.

If a saved file cannot be read, the app can leave a local copy beside it and start that file again. That copy also stays on the phone.

Permissions

The reviewed release manifest does not declare Internet, location, microphone, contacts, photos, broad storage access or the advertising identifier. No Android permission is required to play.

This version does not export scores or open another app to share them. A screenshot you take with the phone is outside the app, and whoever receives it handles it.

Accounts, ads and purchases

This version does not create an account, show ads, or include an analytics or Google Play Billing SDK. There are no in-app purchases.

Purposes

Progress is used to remember scores, the colour and introductions you have already seen. Settings are used for sound, accessibility, language and practice. Email, if you send it, is used to reply. A visit to this page can create a technical hosting log.

Email and a visit to this page follow the website privacy notice. This policy does not add another legal basis.

Retention and deletion

Progress and settings stay on the device until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. This version has no button that deletes only the scores. Uninstalling removes the files of that installation.

Android automatic backup is off. Uninstalling does not keep the app’s data. A screenshot you have already saved elsewhere is not removed by uninstalling.

Telewander ApS does not receive the scores in this version, so it cannot delete them remotely and it does not set a retention period for that progress on its servers. It also does not set a number of days for email you choose to send. The website privacy notice does not set that period.

Providers

If you send email, your email provider is involved. This policy page is hosted on AWS Amplify. The game does not send progress to an advertising, analytics or online-leaderboard service.

AWS Amplify may process data outside the European Union. This page does not describe an international-transfer mechanism.

Security

Progress is stored in the app’s private storage. The app does not add its own encryption of those files. The system limits other apps’ access to that storage. This is not a promise of absolute security.

Rights

Where the progress is only on the phone, access and deletion happen on the device. Telewander ApS cannot retrieve scores it has not received.

For information Telewander ApS receives if you write to contact@telewander.com, or in the technical logs of this page, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. Where processing relies on your consent, you can withdraw it. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency. The website notice explains that practice and does not replace this policy.

Children

This version does not ask for an age, does not check who is using the phone, and does not create an account. It does not state an age limit.

This website

This page is the Telewander ApS website, not the game. Visiting it can create technical request data at AWS Amplify. The site does not use marketing cookies or analytics scripts. The text can be read without accepting optional cookies and without signing in.

The website privacy notice describes the site’s forms and requests. It does not describe XShift scores.

Changes

This policy is updated when the processing changes. The date at the top is the date of this text. It does not change on every visit or every site build. The current version does not send an automatic notice: the current text is the text on this page.
