KinTempo Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
KinTempo is an Android application from Telewander ApS. It helps an adult organise children’s activities on one device. This policy describes com.telewander.kintempo, versionName 1.0.0, as reviewed in the source on 9 October 2026.
Who this applies to
KinTempo is for parents and adult caregivers who enter the schedule. Names, times and routines may relate to children. Saving that information on the phone is processing, even when an adult types it and it does not leave the device.
The reviewed version does not ask for or check age. It does not let an adult or a child create an account. This policy does not state a Google Play age rating.
What information is used
The person using the app enters the information, or the app generates it from what was entered. The reviewed version does not send it to Telewander on its own.
Information you enter
A name or nickname for each profile. Activities, including a title, place, an address if you type one, notes, days, times and time zone. Caregiver names for drop-off and pickup. A packing list and the ticks for what is ready. A manual estimate of travel minutes and an arrival buffer. An activity address is text: the app does not read the phone’s location.
Information the app generates
Local identifiers, the calendar of each session, exceptions and skipped dates, packing ticks, scheduled alarms and overlap warnings calculated from the stored schedule. It also stores settings: language, theme, week start, household time zone, filters, morning and evening notices, and whether a reminder may show a name on the lock screen.
Profiles do not have photographs. The icon is a drawing chosen in the app, not a picture from the gallery. The app does not read contacts from the phone.
What it is used for
Profiles show who an activity is for and filter the schedule. Times and the time zone show the day and the week. The travel minutes and arrival buffer entered by the adult calculate a leave time. That time does not use live traffic or GPS.
The place and address are shown and, if you tap the address, open a maps app. Notes and the packing list help prepare the activity. Caregiver names label drop-off and pickup. Reminders notify you on the same phone. Settings show the schedule the way you configured it.
Where it is stored and what Telewander receives
The schedule, names, notes and settings are processed on the device. They are stored in a local database named kintempo.db and in the app’s local preferences. Telewander ApS does not receive that information automatically. The reviewed version has no account and no synchronisation.
If you email contact@telewander.com, your address and message reach Telewander ApS through the email service you use. That correspondence is separate from the schedule stored in KinTempo.
Permissions and reminders
The reviewed manifest declares three permissions: notifications, exact alarms and receipt of device boot. It does not declare Internet, location, camera, photos, contacts, broad storage or the advertising identifier.
Notifications are optional and local. They do not use an external push service. If you refuse them, or turn them off in Android, the schedule remains available and the notices are not shown. Each reminder type can be turned off in the app.
An exact alarm is used to notify at the planned time when Android allows it. If you do not allow it, KinTempo switches to approximate reminders and says so under Notification health. The boot permission schedules those notices again after the phone restarts. An internal job reviews reminders on the device. It does not connect to a server.
By default, the lock screen only shows that KinTempo has a reminder. If you turn on “Show child and venue on the lock screen”, the visible notice can include the stored name and the activity title. That text is not sent to Telewander.
Opening this policy in a browser, when the app links to it, uses the browser. It does not add an Internet permission to KinTempo and it does not attach names or other schedule data to the address.
Backups and exports
Android automatic backup is off. The cloud-backup, device-transfer and full-backup rules exclude the database, preferences, files and application root. That setting does not delete a file you have already saved outside the app, and it does not stop a copy made by a tool that ignores these settings.
In Settings, “Export app data” creates a JSON file with the suggested name kintempo-backup.json. You choose where to save it with Android’s document picker. The file can include profiles, caregivers, activities, places, addresses, notes, times, packing lists and reminder rules. KinTempo does not upload it. “Import backup” replaces the schedule on that device with the file you choose.
On Today and Week you can create a JPG or a PDF of the visible schedule and send it with another app through the system chooser. That file includes times, titles, places and a short mark derived from the name. It does not include the notes or the full address. The file is created in KinTempo’s cache and can remain there after you share it. Clearing the cache, clearing storage or uninstalling removes it from that device. A copy you send to another app is outside KinTempo.
Uninstalling KinTempo removes the app’s data on that device. It does not remove a JSON file you saved, an image or PDF you already sent, or a copy made by some other means. Telewander cannot remotely delete a schedule it never received.
Third parties and recipients
Telewander ApS does not receive the schedule from the app and does not sell it. The included Android, Kotlin and dependency-injection libraries run on the device. Their presence does not mean the schedule is sent to a third party.
Google Play may distribute the app under Google’s terms. The reviewed version does not send the schedule, names or times to Google Play.
If you tap an address, KinTempo opens a geo: link containing that text in the maps app you choose. If you share the image or PDF, the app you choose receives that file. If you send an email, your email provider receives the message. You start those actions. Those apps have their own practices.
Ads, analytics and purchases
The reviewed version does not include an advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or in-app payment SDK. There is no subscription screen. Buying or installing the app on Google Play, if Google offers that, is a Google Play transaction, not a payment processed by KinTempo.
Retention and deletion
Data stays on the device until you delete it or replace it. You can edit a name or an activity. “Delete this activity” removes that activity from the schedule. On Caregivers, deleting a name removes it from drop-off and pickup labels. “Remove sample data” deletes the demonstration family if you added it.
The reviewed screens do not offer a separate button to delete one profile and keep the rest. “Delete all local data”, then “Delete everything”, removes profiles, activities, caregivers, packing ticks and reminder settings on that device, and cancels scheduled notices. The app cannot undo that action.
Clearing the app’s storage in Android also removes those local files. It does not remove exports or files you have already shared.
Telewander ApS does not store the schedule on its servers, so there is no retention period for that schedule on Telewander ApS servers. This policy does not set a retention period for email you choose to send.
Security
The schedule is stored in the app’s private storage. The reviewed code does not add its own database encryption. The system limits other apps’ access to that storage. This is not a promise of absolute security. The app does not transmit the schedule, so there is no transport encryption to describe for that data.
Children’s privacy
An adult decides what to enter. A nickname is enough, and information that is not needed for the schedule does not need to be stored. The reviewed version does not offer an account for a child to register, or a sign-in profile for a child to use the app. Processing children’s names and routines on the device is not removed by the fact that the app is aimed at adults.
Requests and rights
For information that stays on the phone, access and deletion happen on the device: edit the schedule, use “Delete all local data”, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall it. Telewander ApS cannot display or delete that schedule remotely.
For information Telewander ApS receives if you write to contact@telewander.com, you can ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency. The website privacy notice explains that practice. It does not replace this policy, and it does not ask you to send extra identity documents.
This web page
Visiting this page can create technical request data in AWS Amplify hosting logs. Those logs are not the KinTempo schedule. This page does not use marketing cookies or analytics scripts. It can be read without accepting optional cookies and without signing in.
The website privacy notice describes the site’s forms and requests. It does not describe the KinTempo schedule.
Changes and contact
This policy is updated when the app’s data practices change. The date at the top is the date of this text. It does not change on every visit. The reviewed version does not send an automatic email to announce a change: the current text is the text on this page. Telewander ApS, Edison Park 4, 6715 Esbjerg, Denmark.
