ApexPress privacy policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

ApexPress is an Android application from Telewander ApS. It logs kart tyre pressures for a run, cold and hot, together with the circuit, the lap and the conditions. This policy covers com.telewander.apexpress, versionName 1.2.1.

Data on the device

Runs are stored on the phone, in the apexpress.db database. Settings are stored in the apexpress_prefs preferences.

That local storage can include cold and hot pressures, the circuit name you type, the lap, the temperature, humidity and rain you enter, a driver nickname, the kart, the class, the tyre and notes. It also stores the language, the units and the rest of the app settings.

The app does not ask for an account or your email. Saving a run on the phone is processing of personal data, even though Telewander ApS does not receive those files during ordinary use. This version does not declare the Internet permission and does not send pressures, the circuit or notes to Telewander ApS servers. Weather conditions in this version are the ones you type.

You can turn on example runs. Those examples are part of the app and are kept separate from your runs.

Location

Location is not saved on its own. It is requested when you tap “Save location”. The app takes one position at that moment: latitude, longitude, accuracy and time. If GPS is available, it uses GPS. Otherwise it can use the system’s network location provider. There is no background tracking.

That position stays with the run, on the phone. Telewander ApS does not receive it. You can refuse the permission: the run is still saved, without coordinates.

Permissions

The manifest declares precise location, approximate location and vibration. It does not declare the microphone, contacts, photos, broad storage access, the advertising identifier or Internet.

Precise and approximate location are used for the “Save location” button. You can remove them in Android settings. Vibration does not collect data.

Export, import and the map

A file leaves the phone when you save it. “Export CSV” and “Export JSON backup” open the document picker and write the file where you indicate. “Import JSON backup” reads a file you choose and adds it to the local database.

The CSV includes pressures, the circuit, the driver, notes and conditions. Coordinates are included in the CSV only if you turn on “Include coordinates in CSV”. That option starts off. The JSON backup does include coordinates you have saved on runs.

“Open in Google Maps” opens, in the browser or in Google Maps, an address that contains that run’s latitude and longitude. Google handles that visit under its own terms. Deleting the run in the app does not delete a copy you have already exported or a visit already opened in the map.

Accounts, ads and purchases

This version does not create an account, show ads, or include an analytics or Google Play Billing SDK. There are no in-app purchases.

Purposes

Pressures, the circuit, the lap, the profile and notes are used to record the run and compare it with others. Location is used to remember where the run was created, only if you tap “Save location”, and to open the map if you ask. The CSV and JSON are the copy you save. Email, if you send it, is used to reply. A visit to this page can create a technical hosting log.

The Android location permission is not consent for all of those purposes. Email and a visit to this page follow the website privacy notice. This policy does not add another legal basis.

Retention and deletion

“Delete” removes that run and its location inside the app. “Delete all data” removes runs, locations, circuits you created, profiles and examples on this device. Language, units and the CSV coordinate switch remain until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall it.

Clearing storage, or uninstalling the app, removes the files of that installation. It does not remove a CSV or JSON you have already saved elsewhere, or a visit already opened in Google Maps.

Android automatic backup is off. The backup and transfer rules exclude the database, preferences and files. That does not delete a copy you exported yourself.

Telewander ApS does not receive the runs in this version, so it cannot delete them remotely and it does not set a retention period for that data on its servers. It also does not set a number of days for email you choose to send. The website privacy notice does not set that period.

Providers

If you open the map, the browser or Google Maps is involved, and Google receives the coordinates in that address. If the system uses the network location provider for a position you request, the phone’s location service is involved. If you save or import a file, the app or place you choose is involved. If you send email, your email provider is involved. This policy page is hosted on AWS Amplify.

This version does not include an advertising or analytics SDK. Google and AWS Amplify may process data outside the European Union. This page does not describe an international-transfer mechanism.

Security

Runs are stored in the app’s private storage. The app does not add its own database encryption. The system limits other apps’ access to that storage. This is not a promise of absolute security.

Rights

Where the run is only on the phone, access and deletion happen on the device, or by exporting the file yourself. Telewander ApS cannot retrieve a run it has not received.

For information Telewander ApS receives if you write to contact@telewander.com, or in the technical logs of this page, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. Where processing relies on your consent, you can withdraw it. Location permission is withdrawn in Android settings. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency. The website notice explains that practice and does not replace this policy.

Children

This version does not ask for an age, does not check who is using the phone, and does not create an account. It does not state an age limit.

This website

This page is the Telewander ApS website, not the app. Visiting it can create technical request data at AWS Amplify. The site does not use marketing cookies or analytics scripts. The text can be read without accepting optional cookies and without signing in.

The website privacy notice describes the site’s forms and requests. It does not describe ApexPress runs.

Changes

This policy is updated when the processing changes. The date at the top is the date of this text. It does not change on every visit or every site build. The current version does not send an automatic notice: the current text is the text on this page.
