To fly the Spark is necessary to use a remote control. DJI explains that the remote control will be compatible with the Goggles soon.
Return to Home
The Spark drone can return home automatically. To work, its return to home function requires GPS signal. The function is activated when the battery is low or the connection is lost. Spark looks for a fly path without obstacles. Then it uses the camera to find a safe landing area.
The Spark has no legs. Thus, it is recommended to land over a clean surface. You can use a landing pad.
Spark uses intelligent LiPo 3S batteries. The data from the batteries allow Spark to calculate the remaining flight time. So it is able to estimate the moment it should land. The batteries have a capacity of 1480 mAh.
The batteries need approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to charge. If you need to charge multiple batteries and you could use a charger hub.
